The Scorpio Woman
A deep and dark feminine muse.
The Scorpio woman is:
Alchemical
Deep
Determined
Intense
Intuitive
Magnetic
Mysterious
Perceptive
Powerful
Resilient
Resourceful
Seductive
Strong-willed
Some prominent Scorpio women are:
Sylvia Plath (Sun and Mercury in Scorpio)
Joni Mitchell (Sun and Mercury in Scorpio)
Winona Ryder (Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio)
SZA (Sun, Mercury, Mars, Pluto, and Midheaven in Scorpio)
Lorde (Sun and Mercury in Scorpio)
These women all embody (or embodied) the magnetic, mysterious, and powerful essence of Scorpio energy. They can serve as expanders and an inspiration for all of us, especially if you want to tap into your most alchemical and integrated self.
Scorpio placements are often prominent in women who are natural intuitives. As a Scorpio woman, you have a deep and perceptive energy that is unmatched. You feel deeply and can’t stand living on the surface, as you can probably tell from the list above. And as the fixed water sign of the zodiac, those with significant Scorpio placements also know how to contain their power vs. having leaky boundaries.
Here’s how you can tap into this energy in your chart:
First, look to the house that Scorpio rules for you. I use Whole Sign houses so you can set whatever chart software you use and select this in the settings. If you use another house system, look to the house cusp that the Scorpio glyph is on.
Next, look to what planets or points are in that house for you. Maybe you have some personal planets or some social planets (e.g. Jupiter in Scorpio) there, you may have one of your main angles in Scorpio (AC/DC or MC/IC), or you may have another celestial point in Scorpio (e.g. Lunar Nodes, Chiron, Lilith, Part of Fortune).
Then, once you’ve written down everything you’ve got going on in Scorpio go through each of those planets and points to see how Scorpio energy shows up for you.
P.S. Even if your Scorpio house is completely “empty” write down the house it’s in and what is associated with that house. You can also look at where Mars is in your chart as Mars rules Scorpio!
This area of your chart and your specific placements can show you where and how you are naturally intense and intuitive.
For example, I have a Scorpio 3rd House and my Pluto is there. As I have a Taurus Sun, Moon, and Venus, each of these placements is in a whole sign opposition to my Pluto in Scorpio, with my closest placement being my Moon in Taurus. This is happening across my 3rd/9th axis. For me this shows up in what topics I’m interested in learning and teaching as these are the themes of this axis. So even though I don’t have personal placements in Scorpio I despise anything surface-level. I need to go deeper and I need to communicate my findings in an intense way as well.
Here is a quick overview of Scorpio placements:

Lastly, I want to leave you with some journal prompts to uncover your inner Scorpio woman:
What makes me feel truly secure?
What does “intimacy” mean to me?
What are my deepest and truest desires?
What does transformation feel like in my body?
How can I bring more alchemy and magic into my life?
How can I connect to and embody dark feminine energy?
We all have the Scorpio woman within us.
How are you going to transform into her?

I’m an 8H Scorpio Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Pluto. Trine 12H Pisces Jupiter. Pisces Rising.
I think my 8H Scorpio energy comes through softer because I don’t use depth to dominate or protect — I use it to connect. I’ve already been through the underworld, so the intensity has turned into tenderness. I don’t rush intimacy, I let it root. I don’t fear shadow, I sit with it. My power isn’t loud — it’s presence. It’s that I’ve seen the hard things and I still choose compassion. That’s the version of Scorpio that heals instead of burns.
Plus my 12H Pisces Jupiter trine my Scorpio placements turns that Scorpio intensity into spiritual language.
